Happy Birthday Dad! 84 years

Happy 84th Birthday Dad!

My cute Dad's birthday is Sunday.  I am so lucky to have such a GREAT Dad!  He would do anything in the world for me and he does!  I am so thankful for him!

 I love you Dad!

Girls Camp 2012

This summer I was able to go to Girls' camp with my Young Women.  We had such a fun time!  Gosh, I love these girls!  The leaders I work with were the BEST!  I'm so grateful Camp only comes around once a year!

New Baby Girls 2012

This has been a great 5 months!  I have had four new great nieces born this year!  There is nothing nicer than new babies!  I love them to pieces!

On April 6, Baby Gabbie was born.  She is such a beautiful and sweet baby!

On June 4, Baby Harper was born.  I'm so sad I haven't had the chance to meet her yet!  She looks so cute and happy!  I can't wait to meet her!

Next came Baby Kelsi on July 9.  She is such a nice baby girl!

Last came Baby Lucy, she was born on August 11.  She is so tiny and gorgeous!  I've only seen her once but I can't wait to see her again!

I'm so excited for January and for April when I'll be getting two more new babies!

My Summer Sewing Projects

This summer I had two sewing projects to do.  My friend Sunny turned 7 In August and I wanted to make a quilt for her.  I made quilts for her two older sisters when they turned 7 so it has been a tradition.

On a Friday night in July I came home from work and started my sewing bee.  I had the funnest time thinking about Sunny as I was piecing her quilt together.  I finished her quilt quite late.

Saturday morning I got up early and cut out Baby Lucy's quilt.  Cierra and I had gone shopping on Memorial day to choose the fabric.  Cierra has the cutest bedding and we coordinated the fabric with it.  I loved sewing all the pieces together and then cutting them up and sewing them back together again.  It was so neat to think of that new baby girl that would be cozied up in the quilt.  I finished Lucy's quilt in the late afternoon.

Robynn had a friend make me the darling labels to sew on the quilts.  Thanks Rob!

Here's how it looked whe I gave it to Cierra.  Not sure why it is sideways.  Ughh!

I loved my quilting weekend!  I'm so grateful for my friend Rita who taught me to quilt.
